What a gorgeous book for my first book club! Winter brings deep hibernation for me as I live with lung disease and the risk of infection is obviously greater over winter. The perfect time for me to really hone in on a self care practice for myself. An antidote to the increased isolation Winter inevitably brings. So happy to have nabbed a copy at my local library but will definitely be adding to my xmas list, a copy to keep and skip back to. Looking forward to delving into self care.
Fabulous choice! My copy arrived today and it's a beauty. I love that it's a hardback and the colours (🧡💙), illustrations and layout are uplifting. I also like the "texture" of the pages, they're bright and smooth - it's a full on sensory experience 😆I can't wait to start reading it. It was on my Christmas wish list so it's nice to be reading it in the run up to Christmas.
As soon as I saw that this was the BOTM, a sense of relief came over me. I mentally and physically need some self care in winter. I can't wait for my book to arrive. Thank you Toni x

Find the dark and cold difficult, particularly with a chronic health condition. So I lack energy, motivation, I literally want to hibernate. So prioritising self care becomes difficult. Everything seems to take more effort. So I’m looking forward to Suzy’s guidance!
This is definitely the book for you. Early on Suzy talks about acknowledging that things absolutely take more effort… and shares the things that are worth it from a well-being POV. 💛
