Listen now | A joyous and juicy conversation from the best-selling self-help author featuring personal stories and odes to poetry, piles of book recommendations and - of course - a lot of Substack love.
Thank you to each of you for such an inspiring conversation. I really appreciate your generosity and openness Beth, and your gentle space holding Toni and Tanya. A very special hour
I'll be digging out my own Brambley Hedge collection to reminisce when home at Christmas - I used to love those! And You Are Only Just Beginning is one I now keep by the bedside after receiving it for my birthday this year.
I've never read any of Beth's books actually but her writing sounds right up my street - and very recently discovered the Calm Christmas podcast which is a lovely listen ☺️🎄
Update: I came across The Poetry Pharmacy by William Sieghart in a bookshop I love today and a flick through told me it'd be the perfect gift for someone I have been struggling to pin down ideas for this Christmas. I don't think I'd have picked it up if I'd not heard about it on this episode, so thank you once again to Beth!
I loved this podcast, sitting beside my window finally getting down to the pile f sewing. I felt like I was in the room with you all, enjoying our tea and one another’s company. Thank you. And I was so happy to hear Beth’s words about the irrelevance of age, and how we have more to say the older we are. So true. I have published two books since crossing the seventy line, and words are flowing like a waterfall here on Substack. Age is only numbers, it’s our enthusiasm and the openness of our hearts that matter. With love, Josie
I adored our conversation. May we continue it soon by a blazing fire with hot cuppas and a stack of books for a book swap! ❤️
YES PLEASE to a tea-fuelled book swap with Beth Kempton. The dream :)
2025 goals✨

Thank YOU for your heartfelt comments, it means a lot. We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting each episode. Thankfully not too many bloopers 🤪😂🎙️
Thank you for listening. And taking the time to comment. It really means so much. I only wish we could do it all in person. 💛
A beautiful episode!! So many great book recommendations! Thank you all 🥰📚
Thank YOU for listening and for sharing the love for The Bibliotherapists 🎙️🫶💫
So glad you enjoyed… any on the TBR list? 📚

I would call it 'cosy self-help' - which is just what the doctor (Bibliotherapist!) ordered at this time of year I think... :)
Absolutely - I can get on board with that take!
This is so cute Lauren. The Way of the Fearless Writer by Beth is a also brilliant 👌💫📚
ooh fab - will add that to the list!

Just. Wonderful. Sending love back right back. 💛
Great episode and what a fascinating adventure and life Beth’s degree choice created… I feel the need for some new TBR bookshelves. Thank you all Kx
