Navigating change with 5 soul-led journal prompts from Rebecca Campbell
Plus rebirth, healing, finding yourself, new beginnings... we're covering it all in tonight's live workshop with the mystic and Hay House author
Hello everybody,
When I’m reading a book to prepare for an author event I love to find a juicy quote or two to share with you in advance.
But this week I have a problem.
I started reading Rebecca Campbell’s latest book, Your Soul Had a Dream Your Life is It, on the train from Norwich to London on Saturday morning (book release date 19th November).
The introduction gave me goosebumps. By the time I had finished the first short chapter I had a lump in my throat. And by the time I arrived at Liverpool Street station, not even halfway through Part One (The End is Also the Beginning), I had underlined so many lines and passages that choosing just one quote already felt impossible.
Rebecca is a spiritual teacher and author whose words have always spoken to me in profound and important ways.
One of of her earlier books, Light is the New Black, was a huge part of my self-help (and Shelf Help) journey as, after reading it in 2016, it inspired me to create the community I needed but that didn’t yet exist.
Then, hiding in the back row at my very first ‘spiritual’ event, a Hay House ‘Ignite’ conference in London, I saw her speak - and chant - and she inspired me to look at my fear of being visible and to start getting louder about what I’m trying to do, and why.
And in 2020 when lockdown shut down our global meetups (and potentially my dream of a global community) overnight, her Work Your Light course helped steer me through the heartbreak and disappointment to create something bigger and better from the rubble.
Her latest book has - of course - arrived at exactly the right time. For me, and also I think for you and our Club as we explore the idea of seasonal self-care together.
As we’re learning, this time of year is the perfect time to go inwards and reflect on who we are and possibly why we are here.
And this book is a guide to navigating the changing seasons of life, and using the times of transition as an opportunity to get clear on your soul’s purpose.
Early on in the book Rebecca says:
“When we close off our hearts to protect ourselves from the pain of life, we also close ourselves off from the joy and the sweetness. To experience the ecstasy we also need to experience the agony; all of this is part of the adventure of Life. We need to embrace autumn and winter just as much as spring and summer; these feminine seasons have so much wisdom and nectar for us too.”
So there is one quote for you.
And below I’ve shared five of the many ‘soul inquiry’ prompts Rebecca shares in the book.
And if the idea of learning about rebirth, healing, finding yourself and new beginnings speaks to you right now, I invite you to join Rebecca and I online tonight (Monday 4th November) as we dive into the book and Rebecca guides us through some powerful exercises to support this adventure we call Life.
Book Club members/subscribers will find tonight’s event information and this week’s BOTM reading target in the Members Only section below, and non-members can join the fun by subscribing to the full Clubhouse experience and community from just £4.99 now…

Have you ever been through the dark night/s of the soul? If so, how did it change you? If you’re in it right now, how is it changing you?
What is crumbling or falling away?
Right now, how is Life trying to initiate you?
Have you ever been told the story of your birth? If it’s possible, ask your mother or anyone else who might know to tell you your birth story or to give you more information.
